We live in a world where being connected is a must. Still, we have taken it to an extreme now, as we believe our safety is less important than a text, a post, a WhatsApp, TikTok, etc.
We have taken it even further now, as texting or emailing while driving is still happening (despite certain laws). Still, it doesn't stop there, as I have seen people even "Facetiming," "TikToking," or "Zooming" while driving.
Don't get us wrong. We have all done it, and no matter how hard we try, we'll eventually do it again unless there is an app that would stop us from doing it.
Stapp It is an app that will help to save lives, reduce accident potential and maybe even traffic, and finally help you stop using your phone while driving!
Stapp automatically blocks the phone (locks the screen) connected to the Bluetooth in the car as soon as it connects and unblocks it when it is disconnected.
Only some functions are locked, as some functionality will remain; however, the interaction will only be turned to voice commands.
Apps that would work:
The rest of the phone (even the screen) is locked, and no notifications will appear.
Stapp It can be purchased by someone else and sent to the potential user, who will have to download the app on the phone (pushing the app is an option). The buyer will receive notifications until Stapp It is downloaded and activated. The buyer will also receive notifications if it is uninstalled.
Stapp It, once downloaded, requires some simple setup, but once set up, it activates automatically, making it extremely difficult to remove.
There would be a cost to download the app, but the plan is to liaise with governmental entities (e.g., DMV or county/city offices), as well as with phone companies (Verizon and AT&T have apps), and insurance companies (State Farm has a program), to reach to as many people as possible as fast as possible and at no cost for the user, on the contrary, at a benefit, looking at reduce rates if Stapp It is used consistently. Logistical and parcel companies, distributors, and anyone with a fleet would find it very beneficial.
Stapp It understands that only some have a smartphone or a car with Bluetooth capability. Still, if we can help everyone who does to stop using the phone while driving, we will be able to save lives, reduce accidents, and, why not, even traffic.
Stapp It is still a solid idea for an app that will stop people from using their phones while driving, and best of it all, with existing technologies.
